Chicano/Latino Studies B.A. Learning Outcomes
- Organize, construct, and support a point of view in verbal and written expression.
- Locate and effectively use primary and secondary source materials relevant to Chicano/Latino Studies research; students will collect, interpret, and evaluate research data and/or cultural production and/or demonstrate an understanding of epistemological strengths and weaknesses, reliability, and validity of the relevant scholarship to Chicano/Latino Studies.
- Conceive, organize, and compose substantive writing projects that are coherent, cogent, and grammatically correct; effectively plan formal and informal presentations in individual and group situations; make effective use of information technology to organize and communicate information to multiple audiences.
- The Department will prepare departmental majors to be of service to the Latino community and to the global society.
